Smart Image Converter
Auto-detect raster images or SVG files, then batch-convert them to PNG, JPG or WebP with previews, transforms and advanced quality controls.
Smart Image Converter
Drop raster images or SVG files together. GllOne Lab detects each source automatically, applies one powerful output setup, and lets you inspect every result before downloading.
Add a file to get a source-aware suggestion.
GllOne Lab detects each source format and dimensions automatically. Mix supported formats in the same batch.
Accepted: image/png, image/jpeg, image/webp, image/bmp, image/gif, image/avif, image/tiff, image/x-icon, image/svg+xml, .svg · Multiple files supportedNothing downloads automatically. Your originals are never overwritten.
What this tool does
The Smart Image Converter is the main GllOne Lab workspace. Add raster images or SVG files together and the tool identifies each source, reports its dimensions and transparency, then lets you use one shared PNG, JPG or WebP target or choose a different output format for each file in the same batch. It also supports rotation, flipping, careful resizing, sharpening and optional raster-only colour enhancement.
How to convert your file
- 1
Drop one or more supported images or SVG files. The workspace detects the source format and dimensions instead of trusting only the filename extension.
- 2
Choose PNG, JPG or WebP yourself, use the format suggestion as a starting point, or enable per-file output choices for a mixed batch. A fixed GlloneLab- prefix is added to every exported filename while the source stem is preserved.
- 3
Keep source dimensions, fit inside a maximum box, or fill an exact box with a centred crop. Use quick modes for common jobs, then open transform and advanced quality controls only when the destination requires them.
- 4
Convert the batch, compare original and output previews, check dimensions and real byte size, then download individual results or one ZIP.
Choose the right export settings
- Automatic detection
- The converter inspects browser-decodable raster files and validates SVG input. It reports the detected format, dimensions and sampled transparency before conversion.
- Quick modes
- Balanced, smaller-web, photo-JPG, lossless-PNG and pixel-art modes set sensible starting controls without hiding the underlying settings. PNG output is lossless and OxiPNG-compressed when the browser can run the optimizer.
- Transforms
- Rotate by 90-degree steps or flip horizontally or vertically before encoding. These transforms apply to raster and SVG inputs.
- Resize and resampling
- Fit mode preserves the whole image and does not enlarge raster sources. Fill mode targets exact dimensions with a centred crop and may scale to fill the requested box. SVG artwork can scale cleanly because its geometry is vector-based. Progressive resampling is available for stronger raster downscaling.
- Per-file output and naming
- A batch can share one output format or assign PNG, JPG or WebP individually. Export names use a fixed GlloneLab- prefix plus the original filename stem and the chosen output extension. Duplicate names receive a numeric suffix so no ZIP entry is overwritten.
- Target file size
- For JPG and WebP, optionally set a per-file size goal. The browser tests several encoder qualities and keeps the highest-quality result that stays under the target when possible; the normal quality slider acts as the ceiling.
Example: mixed assets for a product page
Drop a transparent PNG logo, a JPG product photo and an SVG badge into one batch. Keep the logo and badge as PNG while exporting the photo as WebP, or apply one shared format to all three. The tool keeps each source identity visible and produces GlloneLab-prefixed filenames for every chosen target format.
Before you download
- The converter works from pixels or SVG geometry that the browser can decode. It does not preserve editable layers, animation timelines, camera EXIF/GPS metadata, embedded thumbnails or application-specific project data.
- Animated GIF or WebP input is treated as a still-image source; timing and looping are not preserved.
- TIFF, ICO, AVIF, BMP and less-common variants depend on the current browser decoder. A format label is not a guarantee that every historical encoding variant will decode.
- Colour enhancement applies to raster inputs. SVG inputs are rasterized from their artwork and receive size, quality, sharpen and transform controls.
- Very large dimensions or large batches can exceed browser memory. The converter limits canvas size and processes files sequentially, but unusually large work may still require a desktop application.
- A target file size is a best-effort constraint for JPG and WebP. Some images can remain larger than the target even at the minimum attempted quality; the result is marked when that happens.
Questions about Smart Image Converter
Does the tool really detect my input format?
It uses the browser-decodable file data and known MIME or extension information, then reports the detected format and dimensions. A damaged or unsupported file is rejected instead of being presented as a successful conversion.
Which output should I choose?
Use PNG for transparency or lossless exported pixels, JPG for opaque photographic delivery and compatibility, and WebP for modern web delivery when the destination accepts it. The on-page suggestion is only a starting point.
Can I convert SVG files in the same workspace?
Yes. SVG is validated and rasterized to PNG, JPG or WebP at its native size or a chosen maximum box. Image-to-SVG tracing remains a separate tool because tracing is a fundamentally different operation.
Why is the GlloneLab- prefix fixed?
It makes generated files easy to distinguish from originals while preserving the source filename stem. The converter never overwrites the original file on your device.
